Zamir Ahmed Awan, born in 1962, studied in China in 1980s, got Bachelor Degree as well as Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai University, Served in Pakistan Embassy in Beijing as Science Counsellor (Technical Affairs) from 2010 till March 2016. He was responsible for promoting Science, Technology and Higher Education, Cooperation between Pakistan and China. Utilizing his knowledge, learnt during his student life in China, he managed to promote this cooperation to its new heights. He succeeded to get signed many MoUs and agreements between the two countries in the emerging fields technologies. He also played important role in public diplomacy and brought the peoples of the two countries close to each other. His contribution in strengthening the friendship between Pakistan and China is tremendous.
In 2016, upon completion of his tenure, he has already retuned back to Pakistan and joined, Chinese Studies Canter of Excellence, S3H, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan.
He is author of many reports, newspaper articles and research papers, TV/ Radio Interviews, in Pakistan as well as in China. He enjoys deep penetration into Chinese society, especially in Chinese media. He is fluent in Chinese language and understand China very well. Currently, he is generating awareness of CPEC in Pakistan and plays important role in the success of CPEC. His major area of research is “One Belt One Road” (OBOR).
泽米尔·阿万
生于 1962年3月1日， 1980年留学中国。获得上海大学机械专业学士与硕士学位。 从2010年至2016年3月， 在巴基斯坦驻华大使馆担任科技参赞（技术部）， 负责加强中巴两国之间科技与高等教育交流发展与合作。他利用自己在中国留学期间学到的知识，将这一合作推向了新的高度。他成功地使两国在新兴领域技术方面签署了许多谅解备忘录和协议。他还在公共外交中发挥了重要作用，拉近了两国人民的距离，为增进中巴友谊作出了巨大贡献。
2016年任职期满后他返回巴基斯坦，入职巴基斯坦伊斯兰堡国立科技大学S3H 中国学研究中心。
泽米尔·阿万撰写了许多报道、报纸文章和研究论文、多次接受巴基斯坦和中国电视、电台的采访。他对中国社会有着深刻的影响，尤其是在中国媒体方面。他精通中文，对中国也很了解。目前，他致力于在巴基斯坦提高对中巴经济走廊的认识，并为中巴经济走廊的成功发挥着重要作用。他的主要研究领域是“一带一路”。
